The Pifa, commonly referred to as the Pastoral Symphony is the thirteenth movement and the second of two instrumental interludes during the Messiah.
The name comes from shepherd pipers who would play in the streets of Rome around Christmas time.
It was written for two violins and a cello.
This arrangement is for Sopranino, Soprano and Alto Recorder.
